Winter Weather Warnings Issued Across the U.S.: Snow, Freezing Rain, and Hazardous Conditions Ahead

National Weather Service (NWS) has put winter storm warnings and advisories for several United States states.

Two storm systems hailing from the Pacific Ocean brought snow, freezing rain, and cold temperatures to the West Coast, making it a chilly week for the region.

Now similar conditions are being warned about for the parts of the Northeast. Two winter storm warnings are expected to hit Washington as NWS.

Okanogan County warning system warns of additional 8 inches of snowfall throughout Saturday which is most likely to impact State Route 20 travel and movement.

One warning for California projects freezing rain from 5. am to 11. am PST on Friday. "Slippery sidewalks, roads and bridges are possible, " NWS has said with "hazardous conditions" likely on Friday.

Snow and wind gusts will likely be in Oregon on Thursday. The NWS has issued several advisories in Alaska. Georgetown, Red Devil, Sleetmute, and Stony River are likely to see the highest snowfall.

Russian Mission, St Mary's, Pilot Station and Marshal receive an advisory as well. Snow and blowing are likely to impact visibility, and NWS cautions driving during this.

Maine sites, including Central Highlands, Coastal DownEast, Far Eastern, Far Northern, Interior DownEast, North Woods and Penobscot Valley, see an advisory as well and are expected to receive "freezing rain" on Friday. This would impact travel, says NWS.
